(no subject)

So Asteroid 1950 DA may collide with Earth -- in about 800 years. Scientists are even now considering ways to move the thing out of our orbit, and all of their plans involve low-tech solutions like coating it with dust to minimize or exploit the Karkovsky effect (if you're not a space enthusiast like me, don't worry, the article explains what that is).

Reading this, I'm thinking "Hey, guys! We've got 800 years to worry about this! I think we'll have some better methods by then. Just get the laser weapons working and we'll vape it!"

The Weekend in review

This weekend was nice.

Friday was good. Farscape was... well, it was easing us in before the dren hits the fan. I enjoyed it, at any rate.

Saturday... I did nothing that needed to be done. I visited with my family. I played on ChampionsMUSH. Mike and I went to dinner. He bought "13 ghosts".

Sunday I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, played video games. Richard, sorry I didn't answer or call you back. It wasn't you; I was just in an anti-social mood and didn't want anyone around even for a few minutes. I didn't speak a word aloud until Mike got home at 8, and it was nice.

Now it's back to the grind. Friday, come hither!
