My work computer, known unaffectionately as "Skippy the Wonder Computer" for its habit of crashing at least once per day, blew its power supply last wednesday. The IT guy took it away and placed a barely tolerable system (not even enough disk space to run the necessary programs together) in its place, promising to get Skippy back "as soon as possible."
Now, for those unaware of these things, Power Supplies are cheap, ranging from $30 to $40. They can be bought in any decent computer store, and it takes about five minutes to remove the old one and install the new one.
I still don't have Skippy back.
This is how this incompetent asswipe keeps his job -- he makes everything take ten times as long as it should, and makes simplicity seem convoluted and difficult.
