Sometimes dreams suck.
Item One: Fairly often, I have a dream where I THINK I'm lying in bed awake, but I can't move. My eyes are open, I'm trying to move my arms, my legs, raise my head, and I can't. Gods, what a panic attack that causes. Fortunately the panic generally wakes me up.
However, I've also had a few experiences where I KNOW I was awake, and the same thing happened. Scared poor Mike even more than it scared me.
Item Two: I slept badly last night, but did dream. I woke up, depressed as hell, and sad that my friend Erif had died. And as stood under the shower spray, it dawned on me -- Hey, that was a dream! The relief was palpable.
That's the trouble with vivid dreams. Sometimes my mind doesn't recognise they were only dreams. I once spent weeks searching for a really cool series of play-sized Starships from several different SF series before I realised the set only existed in a dream.
Dammit.
