Thursday: Elli's birthday went off as planned. Very good evening.

Friday: General day of shopping with Elli and [livejournal.com profile] lemur_hunter. Oi! My feet!

Saturday: Day of non-alcohol-related Yakking (not me or Elli). Lunch with [livejournal.com profile] kasul, Elli, and a sleeping [livejournal.com profile] lemur_hunter. Dinner (Ethiopian!) at Queen Sheba, which I'll gladly patronize again (in the best sense of the word). Charades. Yeesh.

Sunday: San Francisco! With Elli, [livejournal.com profile] gravity_ and [livejournal.com profile] ox_number_10. I saw someone from High School on the street. After passing her, I said to Elli, "I think I went to high school with that girl in the pink sweater." Elli'd heard her say to her companion "I went to high school with that guy" as she pointed at me after I'd passed her. Weird. We didn't say hi; we were never friends, just knew each other. (For the record, and for those LjFriends who went to high school with me, she was Kellie Raines). Had dinner at Fog City Diner, the upscale not-really-a-diner diner. Good food. Managed to avoid killing Rachel for making me walk eight blocks down a hill then eight blocks back up on a pained ankle (not mad at her, really, I just like to guilt her).

Took Ox home, dropped Elli and [livejournal.com profile] gravity_ at Elli's place so they could do their "We don't have to work tomorrow and have a pathological need to do something until 2am because we can" thing, then went home, studied for tomorrow's Statistics exam, finished Blood Omen 2, taped Alias for later viewing, read two chapters of The Unifying Force (being the end of the New Jedi Order novels) and crashed out into blissful sleep.

Monday: Woke up 20 minutes late. Scrambled to work. Was happy to find I had grabbed my glasses when I left Elli's place, after all. Whew!

I hope you all had as nice a weekend as I did.

Aaron, look here.

I find it interesting that of the nine guests who have died at Disneyland LA since it opened, only 2 were the result of safety issues. The other seven were all people who unsnapped their safety harness and tried to do things even a moron should know better than to attempt.

These statistics count only those who died IN the park; there has been at least one who died due to a traffic accident in the parking lot. Also, there was an employee killed in 1974 through inadequate safety precautions on an attraction that no longer exists.
